Medisoft Support All Versions

The McKesson Corporation has discontinued support for all versions of the Medisoft line except for the current version (17) and only one version back (Version 16).  Where does that leave you? Rest assured, that even though Ability Clinical Technologies has discontinued our dealership with McKesson, we will continue to use our nearly two decades of knowledge to support ALL versions of Medisoft, including the very first DOS Versions.

Ability Clinical Technologies has been supporting Medisoft since 1993 and was one of the very first Medisoft Certified Platinum Dealers (MCPD) in 1995 when we were Med Data, Inc.  NO SUPPORT CONTRACT REQUIRED! (visit our support page for rates)

For a little history about the Medisoft product...In 1980, The Computer Place, in Phoenix, Arizona developed the DOS-base Medisoft program.   The company later renamed themselves "Medisoft" after their highly successful program.  In 2003, NDC Health purchased Medisoft.  Just three years later, in 2006, Per-Se Technologies bought out NDC Health, which in less than a year was purchased by McKesson Corporation in 2007.  Because of the many changes, none of the original Medisoft programmers or support people work for McKesson.  Consequently, this results in a lack of knowledge for supporting older products. Within the last few years, the number of Medisoft dealerships have dwindled from more than 700 to just over a hundred.

HIDDEN 2nd AGREEMENT: While installing the Medisoft program, did you know that there are actually TWO EULA (End User License Agreements) you must agree with in order to install the program?  Click Here For The Actual Agreement Details which includes agreement to annual subscription services.

KNOWLEDGEBASE: Although McKesson has discontinued access to the Medisoft Knowledgebase, you may still be able to access it from here

REGISTRATION: If your program is locked due to registration problems, McKesson charges $100 just to look up your registration codes.  Please do yourself a favor and print and save a copy of your registration directly from your program NOW to save yourself the charge.  Ability Clinical Technologies may be able to recover your registration information for you as well.  Call us at 866-287-8953 if you need help.

GREAT NEWS: The great news is that when you must upgrade your software due to either ANSI-5010, ICD-10, ARRA Stimulus Funding requirements, etc, you will find the AltaPoint Practice Management or AltaPoint EHR Programs to be far superior as far as features, reliability and ease of use, without any annual subscription fees.  The AltaPoint Program also imports and converts your current Medisoft data files.  How convenient is that??   AltaPoint is a Utah-based company, whose CEO is Doug Lyman, the original creator of the Lytec program.  Install the fully functioning demo, then give us a call at 866-287-8953 and we'll be happy to give you a live walk-through of the time-saving features.
